Abstract
This article proposes a pragmatic reading of Karl Barth’s theological epistemology. Drawing on the American pragmatist tradition, it argues that Barth’s account of theological knowledge—centered on the practice of the church and the event of revelation rather than on foundationalist grounds—exhibits affinities with pragmatist accounts of inquiry and belief.
