Abstract
This article compares Abraham Kuyper and Karl Barth on the notion of a ‘Christian worldview.’ Where Kuyper made the development of a comprehensive Calvinist life-and-world view central to Christian cultural engagement, Barth was deeply suspicious of worldviews as rivals to the living Word. The comparison asks what place, if any, the concept of worldview should have in a christologically centered theology.
